Thanks to the latest optical design technologies, these 8mm lenses offer images that are in high contrast and uniformly sharp from the center to the periphery. Particularly noteworthy is the design considering close range imagery, thereby avoiding performance drop-off at the commonly used extreme close range, ensuring high image quality. In addition to its goal of achieving higher image quality, Tamron has also succeeded in making these lenses more compact.
By reducing the minimum focus distance, these lenses offer a broader shooting range. With these lenses, imaging for most applications can be achieved without attaching a close-up extension ring, helping to boost system reliability and lower overall costs. Any one of three positions can now be selected for both the focus and its lock screws. The user can choose locking positions for greater ease of operation. Adoption of a common filter diameter - as all lenses in this 8mm lens series use filters of the same diameter, it is not necessary to stock filters of different diameters for each lens.
