In an imaginative adaptation of his own novel about his experiences working in one of Paris's roughest neighborhoods, Bgaudeau stars as himself - a passionate French teacher who presides over a classroom of diverse young minds. Not one's standard drama or documentary but something in between, this film (nominated for a Best Foreign Film Oscar) employed three cameras during a largely improvisational shoot and features real students rather than actors.
