Based on a true story, this unusual story follows African-American high-school teacher Kenny Williams (McDaniel) as he takes a job at a school on the Three Nations Reservation in Utah. When he reluctantly becomes the coach of the girls' basketball team, the expected culture clashes and growing pains result, but poignant performances and a character-driven narrative are the true strength of the film.
