When boxer "Irish" Micky Ward tries to compete for a championship in the ring, he finds himself struggling to balance his relationships with his girlfriend, manager, and the brother who helped train him to fight; a sniper living in exile is summoned to service to prevent the assassination of the president, but after being double-crossed and framed for the attempt, he seeks to clear his name and find the real culprits; four brothers reunite to avenge their adoptive mother's murder and track down the killer.
