Private investigator Tucker (Caine) is hired by a wealthy businessman (Constantine) to find his lost daughter. The trail leads Tucker to the eccentric Prendergast family, where he becomes convinced that one of the two women (Wood and Winn) are actually his employer's lost offspring.
